A typical build up would include a root-resistant waterproofing membrane to prevent damage by invasive plant roots and a drainage layer. Beyond enhancing aesthetics, the system filters airborne pollutants, improves sound insulation, and extends the lifespan of the roof and waterproofing membrane by protecting them from sunlight and UV exposure. It also manages stormwater at the source, reducing peak flows and minimising downstream flooding.

2. Turf Stabilisation
