Usage

SikaWall®-168 Plaster is designed for plastering on concrete surfaces, brickwalls, blockwalls and lightweight autoclaved aerated blocks. It is recommended for use as a joint mortar for brickworks, blockworks and bedding to receiving wall tiles. It is suitable for internal and external applications.

Storage Conditions

Store properly in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. Protect from direct sunlight, rain and water.

Application steps

MIXING

Add clean water to SikaWall®-168 Plaster and mix thoroughly using a hand-held or mechanical mixer for 3–5 minutes until a homogenous lump-free paste is achieved. Allow mixture to stand for a few minutes for additives to dissolve and mix is ready for use.

 

APPLICATION

Apply SikaWall®-168 Plaster onto moist, clean substrate using a wooden/steel float or steel trowel while the mix is still workable. It can be applied at a recommended thickness of 5–15 mm per layer of application and up to a total build-up thickness of 30 mm. Ensure that each layer has hardened before applying the subsequent layer.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened and/or cured material can only be removed mechanically.
