Sika® Formol-WB

Water based formwork release agent

Sika® Formol-WB is a ready-to-use, water-based mould release agent which is designed to provide easy release of formwork. It is based on a blend of refined oils, specially formulated for their high quality surface finish and stability.

Usage

Sika® Formol-WB when applied to steel, plastic and timber formwork allows clean, fast and easy striking.

Storage Conditions

Store properly in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging, in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. Keep away from direct sunlight.

In normal use, 1 L will cover approximately 30–35 m².

In the case of steel and fibreglass moulds, a single application is sufficient. For untreated timber moulds being used for the first time, apply at least 2 coats to ensure that the surface is adequately sealed. Thereafter, application of a single coat is sufficient before the next cast.

 
Application steps

APPLICATION

All surfaces to be coated with Sika® Formol-WB must be clean and free from grease and other foreign materials.

Sika® Formol-WB can be applied either by brush, roller or spray. It is supplied ready-to-use and requires only adequate stirring before application. Do not re-wet the applied coating with water even when the surface is dry.

For best results, Sika® Formol-WB should preferably be applied under shade and concreting should take place within 2 hours of application of Sika® Formol-WB.


CLEANING OF TOOLS
 

Clean all tools and application equipment water immediately after use. Hardened or cured material can only be mechanically removed.
