Sikaplan®-125 PE

0.25 mm thick flexible LDPE sheet membrane 

Sikaplan®-125 PE is a 0.25 mm thick LDPE based sheet membrane designed for on-grade and below-grade applications of reinforced concrete structures. It is loosely laid under concrete slabs or between layers in flooring systems to act as a moisture barrier or separation layer. The sheet is non-reinforced, flexible, and chemically resistant, offering protection against water ingress in horizontal and vertical structures.

Usage

Sikaplan®-125 PE is used as damp-proofing or separation layer in:
  • Roof application
  • Ground-supported concrete floor slabs
  • Floating or unbonded screeds
  • Base layers for waterproofing systems
  • Substructure protection for insulation boards or drainage layers

Application

Application steps

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

Sikaplan®-125 PE must be applied on a sufficiently stable substrate to avoid movement during the construction works.

The substrate surface must be smooth, uniform, free of sharp objects and clean.

The substrate can be damp or slightly wet, ponding water must be avoided.

APPLICATION

Overlap sheets by a minimum of 50–100 mm.

Joints may be sealed with Sika® MultiSeal AP or SikaProof® Sandwich Tape-80 AP if watertightness is required.

Cover membrane promptly to avoid UV degradation.
