SikaProof®-612 C

Pre-applied fully bonded waterproofing membrane

SikaProof®-612 C is a fully bonded, pre-applied sheet membrane waterproofing system for basement and foundation structures. It is two-layer composite membrane combined with existing single sheet layer (HDPE polymer) and functional layer. SikaProof®-612 C creates a strong chemical and mechanical bond to concrete, which prevent any lateral water migration.

Storage Conditions

Product must be stored in original unopened and undamaged packaging in dry conditions and temperatures between + 5 °C and +35 °C. Do not stack pallets of the rolls on top of each other, or under pallets of any other materials during transport or storage. Always refer to packaging.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

SikaProof®-612 C must be applied on a sufficiently stable, well compacted (blinding layer) substrate to avoid movement during the construction works. Substrate surface must be smooth, uniform and clean. Substrate can be damp, slightly wet or ponding water must be avoided.

APPLICATION

Membrane is loose laid on a horizontal or inclined substrate, and mechanical fixation is required on a vertical substrate.

Overlap: All overlapping edges and cross joints must be sealed with adhesive tape

Detailing: All details and connections should be processed.

Joint: Using Sika® Joint system to handle joints.

Inspection and quality control: Before concreting, a final inspection and acceptance should be carried out to ensure the effective and complete installation of SikaProof® membrane system, without any damage points, and the anti-sticking layer is clean and intact.

Concreting: Concrete must be placed within 21 days after membrane installation.
