SikaCeram®-888 Epoxy Grout MY

High performance epoxy tile grout

Formerly DAVCOPOXY 271. SikaCeram®-888 Epoxy Grout MY is a water-based, two-component epoxy resin grout designed for setting and pointing ceramic tiles in industrial and residential environments. The product is easy to apply under normal ambient conditions and provides durable, chemical-resistant joints.

Usage

SikaCeram®-888 Epoxy Grout MY is suitable for grouting ceramic tiles in areas exposed to chemicals, moisture, and harsh conditions. Suitable for industrial, commercial and residential applications, including:
  • Food processing plants and commercial kitchens
  • Restaurants and laboratories
  • Engineering workshops and electronic industries
  • Breweries, soft drink plants and dairy industries
  • Palm oil, rubber and latex industries

Application steps

MIXING

Pour all of Part A and Part B into a clean container and start mixing using a spindle attached to a low-speed hand drill for ~3 minutes, until a homogeneous mix is achieved. Decant all the mixed material into another clean container, scrape the wall and base of the container to ensure all materials are decanted. Mix for another 30 seconds. SikaCeram®-888 Epoxy Grout MY is now ready to the applied.

 

APPLICATION

Apply in manageable sections to maintain workability within the stated pot life.

Place the mixed grout onto the tiled surface and compact firmly into the joints using a rubber grout float, working diagonally to ensure complete joint filling and void-free compaction.

Remove excess grout from the tile surface immediately by holding the float at a sharp angle to the surface.

Carry out cleaning immediately after application using a damp sponge and clean water. Rinse the sponge frequently and ensure all residues and surface films are completely removed prior to final set.

Allow the grout to cure for at least 24 hours before opening to traffic.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

All tools and application equipment’s with clean water immediately after use. Hardened or cured material can only be removed mechanically.
