The substrate and uncured floor must be at least 3 °C above dew point to reduce the risk of condensation or blooming on the floor finish.

Sikafloor®-359 SF MY must be thoroughly mixed using a low speed stirrer (300–400 rpm) or other suitable equipment

Concrete and/cementitious substrates must be prepared mechanically to remove cement laitance and achieve an open textured surface.
Floor coverings surfaces must be prepared by sanding or grinding (diamond grinding tools), whichever appropriate.

• Prior to mixing, stir part A (resin) using a mechanical mixer (300–400 rpm). While stirring, add all the colour paste and continue stirring until homogenous for ~1 minute.
• Add Part B (hardener) to the Part A mixture and continue mixing. While mixing, slowly add Part C (powder) and mix continuously for ~2 minutes, until a uniform mix is observed. During mixing, scrape the sides and bottom of the container, at least once, with a spatula or trowel.
• To ensure thorough mixing pour materials into another clean container and mix again for ~30 seconds to achieve a consistent mix.
• Over mixing must be avoided to minimise air entrainment.

Prior to application, confirm the substrate moisture content, relative humidity and dew point are within limits, and the existing substrate is clean, dry and free of all contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings and surface treatments.

Primer
Make sure that a continuous, pore free coat covers
the existing substrate. Apply Sikafloor®-359 SF MY by brush, roller, squeegee or steel trowel (scratch coat).

  
Top coat
Top coats can be applied by brush, or squeegee and then back-rolled (crosswise) with a short-pile roller.
The top coat shall be applied within the overcoating time of Sikafloor®-359 SF MY.

Clean all tools and application equipment with Thinner C immediately after use. Hardened and/or cured material can only be removed mechanically.

To maintain the appearance of the floor after application, Sikafloor®-359 SF MY must have all spillages removed immediately and must be regularly cleaned using rotary brush, mechanical scrubbers, scrubber dryer, high pressure washer, wash and vacuum techniques etc using suitable detergents and waxes.
