High elasticity, one part polyurethane bituminous waterproofing coating

Sikalastic®-110 is a water based one part modified polyurethane/bituminous coating, formulated to form a highly elastic, seamless and crack bridging membrane.

Usage

Due to its high elasticity, Sikalastic®-110 can be applied on different structures including those subject to thermal movement and vibration such as:
  • Concealed RC flat roof
  • External walls to be buried below ground
  • Waterproofing coating under tiles areas like podium, bathrooms and balconies

Waiting Time / Overcoating

First coat can be applied immediately after the primer.

Allow 60 minutes between the primer and the first coat for indoor or inadequately ventilated rooms/area.

Allow 4 to 5 hours (at +25 °C) between the first coat and second coats.

Applied Product Ready for Use

Sikalastic®-110 should be allowed to cure for min. 48 hours prior to overlaying with screed.

Full cure min. 48 hours (at +25 °C).
Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The concrete must be dry, structurally sound, laitance free, clean and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contaminants and loose or friable particles. The substrate must be sound and of sufficient strength. If in doubt, apply a test area first.

Weak concrete must be removed and surface defects such as blowholes and voids must be fully exposed. All dust, loose and friable material must be completely removed from all surface before application of the product, preferably by brush and/or vacuum.

The substrate should be well dampened but free of surface water and leaks.

MIXING

Prior to application stir Sikalastic®-110 thoroughly in order to achieve a homogeneous mix

APPLICATION

Sikalastic®-110 is applied using brush, roller or by spray.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened and/or cured material can only be mechanically removed.
