Sika is proud to announce its attendance as an exhibitor and presenter at the ‘Joining in Car Body Engineering’ conference, April 16-18 in Bad Nauheim, Germany.
At the Sika booth, our customers will have the opportunity to meet and interact with our experts. We will be highlighting our SikaPower®. SikaPower® is a one-component, epoxy-based, bulk hybrid adhesive that is cured by the temperature influence of electro-coat ovens. The SikaPower® product portfolio includes crash-durable, structural and e-coatable adhesives.
In addition, Urs Rheinegger will be sharing a presentation entitled ‘Sustainability in the life cycle of body shop adhesive bonding’. It will highlight the various aspects related to sustainability in the life cycle of new body-in-white adhesives: From the development of new formulations with sustainable/bio-based raw materials, to new 'low bake' adhesives enabling an energy/CO2 reduced process by allowing a lower e-coat oven temperature, to a more sustainable use-phase by light weighting through aluminum and mixed material bonding, to the topic of material separation during body recycling at end-of-life.
